We at ContentSquare are committed to the confidentiality, data privacy and security of its customers and their end-users. We fully understand the responsibility that comes with processing data in an age where an increasing number of everyday tasks are shifting over to the digital space. That is why we have developed a solution that allows teams to gain insights from consumers’ digital behavior without any need for Personal Identifiable Information (PII).

Privacy & Security

Privacy has always been a guiding principle when creating our solution. We have adopted a Privacy by Design approach to GDPR compliance which puts the rights of data subjects at the core of all product development activities.

Measures include:

Data Minimization & IP Anonymization

We only collect data which may be used to analyze user behavior, following the GDPR’s newly introduced “Data Minimization” principle which limits data collection, storage and usage to data that is necessary to carry out a given purpose.

That is why, by default, we erase any data that is older than 13 months to make sure they are not held longer than necessary, and why we anonymize IP addresses at the earliest stage possible.

Opt-out Feature & Data Deletion & Data Access

We have created processes to quickly and fully collaborate with all of our clients on requests regarding their end users’ data. We also provide our clients with an opt-out feature that allows their data subjects to easily opt out of being tracked.

Organizational Resources

ContentSquare is committed to maintaining the highest standards for privacy and data security, and has recently added two new roles to the organization to ensure full GDPR compliance.

Data Protection Officer

Chief Information Security Officer

Our Chief Information Security Officer is tasked with implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures (“TOMS”) to safeguard data.

Documentation & Transparency

All of our data-related agreements and privacy and security related documentation have been updated to ensure full compliance for our clients and transparency for data authorities.

Updated Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy has been updated to reflect all changes in processing activities.

Updated Data Processing Agreement

We have entered, or are in the process of entering, into updated Data Processing Agreements with all of our customers in order to reflect GDPR requirements and meet the legal bases for the data processing.

Customer Support

Our Customer Success team has shared guidelines on how our clients can ensure GDPR compliance when using ContentSquare.
